We are looking to hire a part-time Safety Specialist to be based out of the Glasgow, KY area. This is a hybrid position that may require occasional travel to regional and nationwide customer sites, but will primarily be working in the Glasgow, KY area.
Qualifications
- Excellent public speaking skills (required)
- Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) OR 3+ years of experience in a full-time safety role (required)
- 3+ years of conducting training, preferably in OSH-related topics (required)
- GSP designation, ASP certification, and/or CSP certification (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (required)
- Basic computer skills (required)
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards (required)
- Must be a U.S. citizen and be authorized to work in the United States (required)
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test (required)
- Must have a valid U.S. driver's license (required)
- Must be honest, dependable, responsible, and able to be relied upon to fulfill obligations (required)
- Must live in Kentucky and within 30 miles of Glasgow, KY (required - NO PER DIEM OR RELOCATION EXPENSES PROVIDED)
Responsibilities
- Conduct various OSH-related training courses at customer sites
- Promote a safe and healthy workplace at all times
- Create and upload training documents to the company server
- Perform OSH-related audits and inspections at customer sites
- Develop and/or review OSH-related written policies and procedures
- Participate in company professional development activities
- Be ethical and maintain the highest level of integrity at all times
- Other responsible duties as required by Arrow Safety and/or customer needs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
