Risk Safety Manager – Wellons, Inc.

Firmly established, Wellons provides its customers with complete services in design, engineering and manufacturing, as well as installation services and on-site technical services.
We are looking for a fulltime Risk Safety Manager – Vancouver to join our team. The Risk Safety Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety and risk management programs within the organization. They play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with legal regulations, minimizing risks, and fostering a safety-conscious culture.
Duties include, but not limited to the responsibilities outlined below:
· Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
o Identify potential hazards and evaluate risks associated with construction projects, service projects, and manufacturing operations.
o Develop protocols and preventive measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
o Collaborate closely with management and employees to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
o Stay up-to-date with new laws and regulations and maintain safety policies and protocols accordingly.
· Safety Culture Development:
o Lead the development of a safety and risk management culture dedicated to excellence.
o Provide proactive leadership by anticipating problems, sharing knowledge, and promoting employee engagement.
o Monitor results and make improvements based on data-driven insights.
· Training and Compliance:
o Ensure safety and health training meets both Wellons and customer requirements.
o Train employees on safety policies.
o Maintain and distribute safety policies and training records in accordance with Wellons and customer requirements.
o Conduct incident investigations and manage hazard assessment activities.
o Accompany regulatory and customer inspections and provide documentation and respond to request.
o Stay informed about legal regulations and industry standards.
o Maintain ISNet World requirements for customers.
o Oversee compliance and recordkeeping for SDS, COIs, OSHA logs, and worker’s compensation claims.
· Budgeting and Staff Management:
o Develop annual plans and budgets for safety and health initiatives.
o Manage safety staff, including hiring, coaching, and performance evaluation.
o Oversee and manage safety incentive programs, workers’ compensation claims, and return-to-work programs.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., safety management, engineering).
· Extensive experience in safety and risk management within the construction and manufacturing industries.
· Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong technical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
· Valid driver’s license and US passport.
Ability to travel up to up to five days per month.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
