Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment on construction sites. This position requires expertise in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) practices, as well as familiarity with OSHA standards and risk management strategies. The Safety Technician will collaborate with various teams to implement safety protocols, conduct inspections, and provide training to employees.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and best practices.
- Provide training sessions for employees on occupational health, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper usage among all personnel on site.
- Collaborate with project managers to assess risks associated with construction activities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions for compliance management purposes.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents or incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay updated on changes in safety regulations and industry standards related to construction management.
Experience
- Proven experience in a safety-related role within the construction industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with EHS principles, risk management practices, and compliance management is essential.
- Knowledge of construction management software is advantageous for tracking safety metrics and reporting.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations, NEC codes, workers' compensation processes, and occupational health standards is required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey safety information to diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
