Overview
The Site Safety Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of construction sites. This position is responsible for implementing and overseeing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety among all site personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance management, occupational health, and risk management within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into construction management processes.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safe work practices and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries on the construction site.
- Monitor workers' compensation claims and assist in the investigation of accidents or incidents.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of compliance management practices within the construction industry.
