Looking for a flexible position, GREAT PAY, with room for growth? Do you have experience delivering captivating safety presentations? Do you enjoy public speaking?
BOSS Corporation, a life safety training company, based in Chicago, is looking for safety trainers!
The correct trainer would need to be a self-starter, speak SPANISH, and be willing to travel within the greater Milwaukee and Green Bay areas. We are looking for someone that has safety experience and can give captivating presentations. OSHA and CPR instructor experience is required to apply.
While this is a contractor position, we do occasionally bring contractors on board as employees, offering even more room for growth.
What is different about BOSS Corporation?
Since we are a safety company, we ourselves have been in the contractor position many times. We understand what it's like to have too little (and in some cases, too much) information to prepare for a training class.
In addition to offering great pay and travel expenses that actually cover travel, we provide our contractors with the correct information in a simple, easy to understand system. We also provide quality presentations and documents unlike other companies that often have outdated, sometimes decades old material.
Another item that sets us apart is that we don’t attempt to take any ownership of materials that the contractor may share with us; we even put it in writing.
So, what skills does the right applicant need?
We want trainers with a strong desire to learn and grow. They should take pride in their work and want to deliver a phenomenal class. The right applicant will be professional and demonstrate that they can engage with people.
The correct applicant will also be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Windows, and be quick to respond to and monitor email and phone calls during business hours.
What if I don’t have the equipment to provide classes but have the knowledge?
In some cases that’s alright. While our contractors must own a laptop with a current version of Microsoft Office installed and a projector, we do not assume everyone will have their own CPR or Fire Extinguisher simulator kits. For classes that need specialty equipment such as those just mentioned, we have kits that contractors can check out.
Some classes have a lot of paperwork. We can either print and mail it to the contractor or the contractor can use our printers when picking up/dropping off equipment. If the contractor has a LaserJet (not an inkjet) printer, and wants to print the paperwork themselves, we have a system for toner reimbursement too.
What kind of responsibilities does the position require?
The position is for a safety trainer. This trainer will travel to clients to perform a variety of safety classes based on the trainers’ credentials. Examples of safety classes we offer include:
· Fire Extinguisher Training
· Emergency Preparedness and Egress
· Machine Safeguarding
· Forklift (Powered Industrial Truck)
· Employee Right to Know
· CPR and First Aid
