Overview
The ideal candidate will be well versed in nursery and cultivation practices. The Cultivation Technician will be reporting to the Lead Cultivation Technician for daily tasks and work flow. You will be responsible for any tasks the Director of Cultivation, Cultivation Manager, or Lead Cultivation Technician may designate on site. Duties include working across all areas of plant cultivation including cloning, transplanting, feeding, defoliating, super cropping, topping, flushing, trimming, packaging, environmental control, fertigation, maintenance, pest control, waste disposal and inventory management for all plants in the facility.
Required Skills:
- Assist with various crop care, including: o Performs all the tasks in the grow cycle, including; transplanting, feeding, cloning, propagation cropping and assisting the Lead Cultivation Technician with inventory management.
- Mixing and amending soil or prepping mediums.
- Assisting the Lead Cultivation Technician with the mixing of nutrients.
- Walking each row and checking for water and nutrient line breaks, dripper failure and or bug, pest, pathogen and disease related problems.
- Potting and or any medium we choose. Conduct daily inspections for pests, pathogens, mold, fungi, disease or other undesired conditions
- Able to take direction and work well with others
- Conduct inspections and/or replacement of light bulbs, irrigation tubing, water aerators and pumps.
- Conduct daily inspections and measurements of reservoirs to maintain strict ph and PPM levels
- Able to take direction and work well with others o Take clones from mother plants and ready them for starting new plants
- Check clones for humidity, temperature, and water
- Maintain healthy mother plants so that clones can be developed for future crops
- Manipulate plants into trellises or other conveyances for proper plant development
- Move plants into appropriate areas to ensure proper air movement and light availability based on the development of the plant
- Water plants to the prescribed amount to ensure proper nutrient uptake and avoid runoff
- Repot juvenile plants into larger pots
- Prune plants in vegetative and flowering stages o Mix soils and nutrients to specific recipes to ensure proper plant growth
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of organic nutrients, pesticides, herbicides, and sulfur compounds
- Maintain work areas at a high level of cleanliness and hygiene; clean and sanitize all cultivation equipment daily, weekly, monthly, and as determined by the Cultivation Manager and by the Extraction Manager
- Conduct weekly checks of pre-flower and flowering plants to ensure there is no light pollution that could damage flowering stages of harvest
- Wash and dry gowns, coveralls, booties and rags used for cultivation at least weekly
- Conduct quarterly inspections and/or replacement of light bulbs, irrigation tubing, water aerators and pumps
- If applicable, apply organic pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides as needed
- Maintain a detailed check list of tasks
- Follow all state and company rules and regulations for batching o Start seeds for Propagation and pheno hunting.
- Learn and manage Argus fertigation system.
- General plant care:
- De-leafing
- Pruning
- IMP management
- Laying Trellis and or Screens
- Harvesting
- General housekeeping of production area
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, pots, trays, medium etc.
- Keeping work areas cleaned and organized
- Additional duties, as required and assigned by the Cultivation Director
Requirements:
- Must pass a state background check
- Organized and clean
- Ability to accept and follow directions
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs
- Ability to meet physical demands including reaching, climbing, bending, walking, standing and performing repetitive work
- Comfortable working in conditions that include height, heat and high intensity lighting.
- Capable of working in fast paced environments.

- Ability to work occasional weekends and Holidays

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
