We are hiring a
Quality/HSE Manager who will be responsible and have authority for maintaining the companies' Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and administrate the established Safety Program. The Quality/HSE Manager is also responsible for managing the calibration program, monitoring controlled documents, and setting up company training plans related to SIT and CS Controls functions. This position acts as a point of contact for external and internal audits and coordinating requirements for new vendors and of new customers.
Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS)
- Act as the Quality Management Representative in maintaining the QMS Manual, Procedures, and Forms per the most recent ISO standards
- Manage and maintain the ISO 9001 certification
- Manage Quality Inspectors in the performance of their duties
- Maintain and facilitate tool and test equipment calibration logs
- Establish a Master Training Plan based on departmental input through the E-Learning module in Web QMS and facilitate the scheduling of internal and 3rd party training opportunities
- Report on an as needed basis to the President regarding the QMS, specifically concerning key metrics, NCRs, and CIPs
- Assist in cost and proposal reviews with an eye to quality data, testing, and safety considerations
- Maintain and track Quality Objectives set forth by SIT Management
- Hold planned Management Review meetings annually
- Perform Risk assessments as they pertain to the Quality Management system processes and issue MOC's as needed
- Assist with supplier approval and periodically perform supplier assessments
- Plan and participate in Internal Audits and DNV Periodic Audits
- Maintain and distribute audit findings to the appropriate managers and employees,
- Maintain Painter Certification program
ISO Management Representative
- Ensure that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained
- Report to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement
- Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization
- Support and participate in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 and understand the implications of not complying with the quality management system
Safety Program Compliance
- Conform to Corporate Directives for Safety and OSHA Compliance
- Generate a process for Safety Qualification of shop and field personnel and managers
- Assist the production of a business continuity plan, plan training and facilitate weekly discussions with emergency teams, and schedule drills in support of rapid reaction criteria for preventing or mitigating losses in production or personnel, including fire, spill, personnel injury, or evacuation
- Maintain the SDS Online system for the Chemical Inventory
- Ensure that Fire System inspections are performed including Paint Booth, Fire Extinguishers and Alarm systems
- Ensure annual elevator inspections and certification are completed for Cutten Road
- Track and maintain HSE compliance for Site Inspection, Vehicle Inspections, Forklift and Cranes
- Participate and coordinate Industrial Hygiene sampling and monitoring as needed
- Schedule maintenance for generator and compressors at Cutten Road
- Perform HSE inspections at all SIT locations
- Tracks safety performance for all SIT locations and reports discrepancies to management
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education & Training
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
- Ten (10) years of experience in management of Production, Fabrication, or Service-related fields
- Experience in the military, commercial manufacturing, or engineering services a plus
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus
Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of Project Management principals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and communicate well with all levels of personnel
