Medcor Safety is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to support a large-scale data center construction project in Castroville, Texas.
This is a full-time, field-based safety opportunity supporting dirt work and underground utility construction. The Safety Professional will work directly with construction crews, project leadership, contractors, and site management to identify hazards, promote safe work practices, and maintain compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
The position offers $45.00–$50.00 per hour as a W2 employee, 50–60 hours per week, and per diem availability. The project is anticipated to last approximately 9–12 months.

What You’ll Do
As a Construction Safety Professional, you’ll maintain an active presence in the field and work closely with crews and project leadership to promote a safe, compliant jobsite.
Responsibilities include:

Identify construction safety hazards and work with field personnel and management to mitigate risk

Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits
-
Observe crews and identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and work practices
-
Recognize and reinforce positive safety practices in the field

Document and communicate findings from site safety inspections and audits

Support compliance with OSHA regulations and federal, state, local, owner, and general contractor requirements

Review and audit employee safety training records
-
Participate in the development and implementation of Site-Specific Safety Plans

Participate in project kickoff meetings, toolbox talks, and safety meetings

Assist with incident and accident documentation, safety briefs, bulletins, and reports

Work directly with construction crews, supervisors, project management, contractors, and outside agencies

Review client and owner safety requirements and help ensure ongoing compliance

Promote a strong safety culture throughout all phases of construction
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of construction safety experience
-
OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
-
Current CPR/First Aid certification
-
Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and jobsite safety practices

Experience conducting jobsite inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively with field crews, supervisors, contractors, and project leadership

Comfortable working in an active construction environment

Basic computer proficiency, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets
Preferred Qualifications:

CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)

OSHA 500 certification
-
Previous experience supporting data center construction
-
Experience with underground utilities, excavation, trenching, or dirt work

Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects

This is a field-based construction safety position. While performing the duties of this role, employees may regularly be required to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms.
Employees must be able to communicate effectively in an active construction environment and may occasionally be required to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
