Nielsen’s Arc Service is seeking an experienced Safety & Human Resources Manager to join our team. This is a part-time position averaging 25–30 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have previous Human Resources experience along with experience or knowledge in workplace safety, OSHA, MSHA, fleet safety, and contractor/customer compliance systems.
This position will be responsible for overseeing the HR and safety functions of the company and will work closely with management, employees, insurance providers, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and employee onboarding
- Manage Indeed and Utah Workforce Services recruiting
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation
- Handle employee relations, disciplinary actions, and HR questions
- Maintain employee manuals and company policies
- Track PTO and employee leave
- Maintain OSHA compliance and OSHA 300 logs
- Maintain MSHA compliance and documentation
- Schedule and track MSHA New Miner and Annual Refresher classes
- Maintain employee safety and training records
- Coordinate safety meetings and required training
- Investigate workplace incidents and assist with corrective actions
- Maintain and update company safety programs
- Manage Avetta, ISNetworld, and other customer compliance systems
- Complete customer safety and prequalification requirements
- Manage fleet safety and DOT compliance
- Maintain and update JJ Keller
- Maintain Driver Qualification Files and MVR records
- Track DOT physicals, CDL information, and driver documentation
- Maintain USDOT/MC-150 information
- Coordinate IRP fleet registrations
- Track truck and DOT inspections
- Track company vehicle locations and assigned drivers
- Coordinate fleet accident documentation
- Manage business insurance documentation
- Manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
- Coordinate General Liability, Commercial Auto, and Workers’ Compensation matters
- Report and track WCF and General Liability incidents
- Coordinate insurance renewals, audits, and required customer insurance documentation
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous Human Resources experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong computer and recordkeeping skills

- Experience in mining, construction, manufacturing, heavy equipment, or another industrial environment

Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
