Electrical Safety Superintendent

Position Overview
Chambers Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Safety Superintendent to oversee safety programs across active commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role is responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting field audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on field safety leader with electrical construction experience who can mentor crews, enforce standards, and build a proactive safety culture across multiple jobsites.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and enforce company safety programs on electrical construction projects
· Conduct routine jobsite safety audits and inspections
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety policies
· Lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks
· Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
· Develop corrective action plans and track resolution
· Review and approve Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and work plans
· Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to maintain safe work environments
· Maintain safety documentation and compliance records
· Assist with training crews on proper PPE, lockout/tagout, arc flash safety, and fall protection
· Support emergency response planning and jobsite preparedness
· Travel to jobsites as needed to perform inspections and support field teams
Qualifications
· 7+ years experience in electrical construction
· 3+ years in a construction safety leadership role preferred
· Strong understanding of OSHA construction standards
· Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements
· Experience performing safety audits and incident investigations
· Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel and management
· Ability to enforce safety policies while maintaining positive working relationships
Preferred Certifications
· OSHA 30 (Required)
· OSHA 500 or OSHA Authorized Trainer (Preferred)
· NFPA 70E Certification
· First Aid / CPR Certification
· CHST or CSP Certification (Preferred but not required)
Physical Requirements
· Ability to walk jobsites for extended periods
· Ability to climb ladders and access elevated work areas
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary

Pay: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
