SAFETY & RECRUITING MANAGER | K&S Carriers & Logistics
K&S Carriers runs OTR, regional, and local trucking routes across North America. As we grow our fleet, we need someone who can do two things exceptionally well: find great drivers and keep them safe on the road.
This is a dual-function role that sits at the heart of our operation. You'll own the full recruiting cycle and lead our safety and compliance program — working closely with dispatch, operations, and leadership to build a driver team we're proud of.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage the full driver recruiting cycle — sourcing, screening, onboarding, and orientation
- Maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance across all driver files, drug & alcohol programs, and HOS policies
- Monitor CSA/SMS scores and lead corrective action plans to stay ahead of violations
- Investigate accidents, coach drivers, and deliver ongoing safety training
- Build a proactive driver pipeline to support fleet growth and minimize open seats
- Serve as the go-to resource for compliance questions across the organization
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of experience in driver recruiting, fleet safety management, or both — trucking industry experience required
- Strong working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations
- Familiarity with recruiting platforms (Tenstreet, DriverReach, Indeed) and ELD/telematics systems
- A natural relationship-builder who earns trust with drivers and leadership alike
- Organized and self-directed — you manage competing priorities without needing to be micromanaged
- CDS or NATMI certification is a plus; CDL-A is a plus
