Assignment Details
- Start: Middle or Late May
- Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8am–4:00pm
- Pay: $36-39/hr
- Department: Home Health

Summary of Trauma Registrar:
This position is responsible and accountable for accurately abstracting the clinical and demographic data from patient records and coding this data for injury severity and procedures completed. The Trauma Registrar reviews patient records in a responsible and ethical manner in order to accurately abstract and enter data into the trauma registry. The Registrar also provides statistical reports from the trauma registry as requested.
Requirements for Trauma Registrar:
- 1+ year of experience coding ICD-10-PCS in an Acute Care Hospital.
- 1+ year of experience with EPIC EMR System
- 1+ year of Trauma department experience
- 3+ years of experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
- Knowledgeable of patient registration processes
- Experience managing patient referrals and authorizations
- Prior experience verifying insurances and benefits plans
