Job Title: Safety Manager
Job Summary:
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating and monitoring safety programs while complying with OSHA standards in order to prevent or minimize potential for injury and/or financial loss due to an accident or non-conformance to applicable standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all safety programs, policies and procedures necessary for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain all company documents for safety, OHSA 300 and 300A logs, and standard operating procedures.
- Create, coordinate and conduct safety training for plant personnel, including new employee safety orientation training.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness through leadership and guidance to ensure compliance in all processes and operations in the plant.
- Lead internal teams, safety related activities and projects.
- Conduct regular internal safety compliance audits and inspections of the facility and initiate corrective actions to ensure a safe work environment.
- Support all 3rd party external audits (e.g. social audits)
- Maintain the site management emergency response plan.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience including safety related position and/or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA and other applicable Federal and State legislations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- PowerPoint, Word, Excel proficiency.
- Ability to work overtime, irregular hours or rotating shifts
- Bilingual – Spanish/English a plus

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
