We are seeking a Safety Director with background in construction, trucking, and crane operation. Responsibilities include designing and implementing safety strategies, provide and conduct safety training for new and current personnel, conduct jobsite safety inspections/audits, conduct accident investigations, monitor employee rehabilitation, and assist operations. Position requires a Bachelor Degree in Safety or an Associate Degree with proper OSHA, DOT and/or NCCCI or Crane Institute training. Periodic travel across the U.S. estimated at 50% of working days. Position Summary
The Safety Director is responsible for all aspects of the E80 Plus Constructors Safety and Health Program. This role focuses on implementing and enforcing company safety policies to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Conduct new hire safety training orientations
- Maintain and file safety documentation, including toolbox talks, monthly trainings, equipment inspections, safety permits, and related records
- Organize, maintain, and distribute PPE, including fall protection
- Respond to PPE requests from field personnel
- Conduct company safety training programs
- Conduct accident investigations, inspections, and reporting
- Review and discuss project-specific safety plans
- Conduct job site safety visits and produce site safety reports
- Conduct, record, and maintain OSHA-required safety training documentation
- Maintain and update SDS database
- Travel to job sites as required, 50% travel
- Maintain safety equipment inventory
- Create and distribute weekly toolbox talks
- Maintain employee training records and track future training needs
- Attend safety seminars and regulatory update classes
- Research leading indicators and enhance proactive safety measures
- Develop creative safety programs to promote safety as a core company value
- Manage safety award program
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Occupational Environmental Safety & Health (OESH) or Construction or equivalent skills, knowledge and abilities demonstrated by training, certifications, related experience and previous positions held
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction Certification

Possible Environmental / Health Exposures
Indoor and outdoor work environment, cold and hot temperatures, wet and dry conditions, variable lighting (day or nighttime periods), dust, chemical vapors, lead fumes, noise, dangerous equipment and falls from heights. As required, we must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses/eye protection, safety toe boots, hard hats, gloves, and other PPE.
