Position Overview
OnPoint Industrial Services is seeking a Seasoned Safety Professional / Site Safety Advisor to serve as the primary on-site safety leader. You will ensure that all work activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA regulations, site policies, and industry best practices.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industrial safety professional who thrives in high-pressure outage environments and enjoys mentoring and influencing crews and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily safety audits, field observations, and hazard assessments.
- Lead toolbox talks, pre-task planning, and safety briefings.
- Monitor compliance with LOTO, confined space, hot work, fall protection, and energy control procedures.
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Coach and mentor craft personnel and supervisors to build a proactive safety culture.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 500 certification, CHST certification, or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety / Occupational Health / Industrial Safety.
- 5+ years of experience as a Safety Advisor, Safety Coordinator, Safety Specialist, or Safety Manager in industrial, construction, or outage environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety management practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work 7 days per week, 12-hour shifts for the duration of the 90-day outage.
Preferred Experience
- Safety oversight on power plant outages, turnarounds, or heavy industrial projects.
- Contractor safety management experience.
- Proficiency in industrial hazard controls, including LOTO, confined space, hot work, and fall protection.
Compensation & Schedule
- 7 days/week, 12-hour shifts (84 hours/week)
- Weekly pay exceeding $5,800, including overtime and per diem
