Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA standards as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop site-specific safety policies and procedures for electrical scope.
- Conduct regular safety inspections (travel required), audits, and hazard assessments across Andrew Electric projects in town and out of town to identify potential risks.
- Work in conjunction with project management following any incident that requires investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Facilitate safety training sessions, workshops, and development programs to enhance employee awareness of safety procedures and best practices.
- Maintain detailed records of safety incidents, inspection reports, training logs, and compliance documentation in accordance with report writing standards.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations such as EPA guidelines related to occupational health and environmental safety.
- Stay current on workers' compensation law changes and assist in managing workers' compensation claims process when necessary.
- Serve as primary point of contact for safety related inquiries and concerns from clients.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in safety management.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFP70E, occupational health standards, workers' compensation law, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and Procore. Must have working knowledge of prequal. platforms such as: USNetworld, Avetta, PEC, etc.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Construction Health and Safety Technician) preferred.
- Certified in first aid, CPR, and basic emergency response procedures.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety administration or related field.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document incidents accurately and clearly, communications skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues contributing to safety incidents.
- Ability to deliver engaging training & development sessions that motivate employees toward safe work behaviors.
- Must be able to travel to out-of-town projects. Per Diem will be allocated according to location traveling to.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
