Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Placenta Specialist. A Placenta Specialist is a trained professional responsible for the preparation, handling, and encapsulation of placental tissue for Postpartum consumption. This role involves educating clients about adherence to health and safety standards and providing support during the postpartum period.
Job Duties/Responsibilties :
- Placenta Processing: Safely collect, process and encapsulate placentas according to placenta plus protocols. Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards throughout the handling and processing of the placenta.
- Client Consultation: Conduct pre-and post-natal consultations with clients to discuss the benefits of placenta encapsulation and support management of products. Provide personalized guidance based on individual client needs.
- Education and Support: Offer educational materials regarding the benefits of placenta encapsulation and how Placenta Plus operates differently from competitors. Supports clients in gaining understanding of our products and choosing what options are best for them.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure your Placenta Plus training is up to date and you are confident with the protocols. Ensure all lab and client documentation is completed on time. Cleaning and sanitation are key parts of your role. Labelling of clients’ placenta and products. Safe collection or the placenta and return of clients’ products.
- Collaboration: Work in conjunction with healthcare providers, midwives, doctors, and doulas to help comprehensive postpartum care for our clients. Build and support professional relationships with clients ensuring trust and confidentiality.
- Qualifications: All training regarding processing and handling will be done by Placenta Plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to educate clients clearly and compassionately. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. Initiative to make professional decisions within the Placenta Plus protocols. The ability to work alone with confidence but also a team player. Computer skills excel, google sheets, CRM required along with basic admin skills.
- Shift/Weekend Work Must understand that our company operates 365 days a year 24/7 to ensure the highest standard of service. This requires shift work and weekend work from staff and sometimes overtime in busy periods.
