Job Purpose
The Safety Rep. is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, reduce workplace hazards, prevent accidents, and promote a safe and healthy working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with applicable OSHA standards, federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain OSHA-compliant safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
- Maintain OSHA-required documentation, logs, and records
- Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
- Evaluate machinery, equipment, and processes for potential safety risks.
- Conduct OSHA-mandated safety training (e.g., hazard communication, PPE, confined space, lockout/tagout).
- Provide safety induction and refresher training for employees and contractors.
- Promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
- Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Prepare incident reports and root cause analysis.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans
- Coordinate and conduct emergency drills in line with OSHA requirements.
- Monitor safety performance indicators and trends.
- Support management in achieving safety objectives and zero-accident goals.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections or audits.
