- Perform regular field safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local construction safety standards.
- Lead Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Pre-Task Planning (PTP) meetings to identify and mitigate risks before work begins.
- Conduct safety orientations and ongoing training for employees, foremen, and subcontractors, reinforcing best practices for field operations.
- Investigate jobsite incidents, near-misses, and equipment-related hazards; determine root causes and drive corrective action plans.
- Maintain detailed safety documentation, including inspection reports, training logs, and incident records for each active project.
- Collaborate daily with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to integrate safety into project schedules, logistics, and execution plans.
- Stay current with evolving construction safety regulations and update company programs to remain compliant and proactive.
- Promote a proactive safety culture—coaching field leaders and crews to take ownership of safety performance on every project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
