Responsible for providing daily environmental, health and safety (EHS) oversight. This role ensures regulatory requirements, compliance with all applicable company policies, and best practices, while promoting a positive safety culture through training, leadership, and engagement with employees and supervisors
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections of facility to ensure company and regulatory compliance and analyze results
- Manage several HSE functions such as training, recordkeeping, and safety compliance
- Develop, implement and monitor environmental & safety policies, procedures and documents
- Assist in the development, evaluation, and upgrading of safety programs
- Prepare detailed reports on key HSE performance indicators, progress, and trends for management review
- Conduct root-cause investigations of accidents and near-misses to determine causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence by analyzing incident data.
- Consult with Executive team to ensure timely and efficient resolutions of HSE issues
- Represent company during HSE audits with current and potential customers/vendors
- Promote employee engagement by encouraging participation in safety observations, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Operate tools and machinery as required
- Prepare, submit, and document OSHA logs
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years HSE related experience
- Excellent customer service, verbal/written communication skills and sound judgment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Able to investigate, report and document Company HSE issues
- Handling several tasks concurrently with attention to detail
- Ability to function well independently and within a team
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Able to walk around the facility to perform daily work
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Current certification in First Aid/CPR/AED
- OSHA 30 certification
- Lift up to 30lbs

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
