Responsible for providing daily environmental, health and safety (EHS) oversight. This role ensures regulatory requirements, compliance with all applicable company policies, and best practices, while promoting a positive safety culture through training, leadership, and engagement with employees and supervisors

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular safety inspections of facility to ensure company and regulatory compliance and analyze results
Manage several HSE functions such as training, recordkeeping, and safety compliance
Develop, implement and monitor environmental & safety policies, procedures and documents
Assist in the development, evaluation, and upgrading of safety programs
Prepare detailed reports on key HSE performance indicators, progress, and trends for management review
Conduct root-cause investigations of accidents and near-misses to determine causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence by analyzing incident data.
Consult with Executive team to ensure timely and efficient resolutions of HSE issues
Represent company during HSE audits with current and potential customers/vendors
Promote employee engagement by encouraging participation in safety observations, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives
Operate tools and machinery as required
Prepare, submit, and document OSHA logs
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years HSE related experience
Excellent customer service, verbal/written communication skills and sound judgment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Able to investigate, report and document Company HSE issues
Handling several tasks concurrently with attention to detail
Ability to function well independently and within a team
Valid Driver’s License
Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Able to walk around the facility to perform daily work
Leadership and interpersonal skills
Current certification in First Aid/CPR/AED
OSHA 30 certification
Lift up to 30lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
