B & D Integrated Health Services is looking for a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist
Objective: Ensure effective delivery of clinical patient care as well as compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures of the agency through the Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Programming.
Required Skills/Education/Experience/Certifications:
- Master's Degree Required
- Mental Health or Substance Abuse Counseling Experience
- LCAS, LCAS-A
Responsibilities/Duties:
CLINICAL
- Provide “Meet and Greet” to new consumers, inclusive of providing program overview.
- Provide Matrix Model SAIOP group facilitation Monday-Friday, holidays, and weekend day if warranted.
- Maintain active caseload of SAIOP consumers.
- Coordinate B&D transportation services for SAIOP participants if required.
- Provide Transportation as needed to consumers for group or other community resources.
- Assist consumers in eliminating any barriers to treatment (Child Care, Transportation, Health, Basic Needs, etc.)
- Maintain active consents for treatment interventions and planning (i.e. Probation, Shelter, Family Members, etc.).
- Provide daily reinforcement of agency rules and regulations with consumers to avoid/minimize conflict.
- Document all clinical transactions with consumers through group and individual notes as entered in the EMR within agency timelines.
- Provide Individual therapy sessions for each consumer on caseload, no less than 20 minutes every other week, or more if needed.
- Provide crisis intervention to include facilitation of inpatient treatment, or linkage to other community resources.
- Provide case management services to consumers on caseload 1x p/week.
- Obtain UDS samples as part of treatment interventions, as allowed by current statutes.
- Participate in bi-weekly clinical supervision with SA Director.
- Participate in weekly collaborations about consumer's progress in treatment.
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Complete all discharges within three weeks of consumer treatment non-compliance or from the authorization date.
- Monitor discharges to ensure “replacements” for census stability.
- Complete transition plans within three weeks of consumer completion of the group treatment.
- Complete all service documents within mandated timelines (EMR Notes/NC TOPPS/Crisis Plans).
- Create/maintain individual treatment plans (PCP) for SAIOP consumers and monitor for updates.
- Develop and review crisis plans to ensure that the consumer and legally responsible person is aware of the crisis procedure and the phone number to reach SAIOP provider(s).
- Coordinate with agency Primary Care, and Psychiatry to ensure consumer enrollment within these programs.
- Keep accurate records to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
- Attend all division and agency meetings as required.
COMMUNITY/IN-REACH
- Coordinate services with consumers’ community service providers and treatment teams.
- Monitor discharges to ensure “replacements” for census stability.
- Conduct community visits and provide motivational interviews to absent and non-compliant consumers.
- Follow-up with referrals from other agency departments as per SA Director.
- Provide community advocacy for consumers (Legal representation, CPS, Housing, etc.)
- Conduct outreach events in the community
- Valid drivers license and insurance
