We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Technical Instructor with hands-on experience in renewable energy, instrumentation & controls, and a strong background in electrical, electrical safety, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industry best practices, excellent teaching abilities, and a passion for developing future technicians.
Knowledge of and previous expereince of delivering GWO Basic Technical training is a key advantage.
As a Technical Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs, developing and maintaining training simulators, and providing both theoretical and hands-on instruction to employees, contractors, and trainees.
Responsibilities:
Training Delivery:
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions on renewable energy systems, instrumentation & controls, electrical safety, BOP, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Provide both theoretical classroom training and hands-on instruction in lab settings.
- Teach a wide range of learners from entry-level technicians to experienced professionals, ensuring the delivery of clear, concise, and engaging lessons.
Curriculum Development:
· Develop and update training materials, manuals, and course content that are aligned with current industry standards and best practices.
· Ensure training programs reflect the latest technologies and practices in renewable energy, electrical systems, instrumentation & controls, and mechanical systems.
Simulator & Training Equipment Design:
- Build, maintain, and optimize training simulators that reflect real-world scenarios to enhance learning experiences.
- Asist in the development of both physical and virtual simulation tools.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all training programs meet industry safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, with a strong emphasis on electrical safety programs.
- Assess and monitor technical instructors and trainees, offer constructive feedback, and adjust training methods to meet individual learning styles and requirements.
Professional Development of Existing Instructors:
· Support the professional development of current and future instructors, ensuring they are up to date with the latest teaching methodologies, technical advancements, and safety standards.
Continuous Improvement:
· Identify areas for improvement in training processes and propose solutions to enhance the overall effectiveness of the training program.
· Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety regulations to incorporate into training programs.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector or instrumentation & controls, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and hydraulics.
- Experience as a trainer, instructor, or technical mentor in a hands-on environment.
Technical Knowledge:
· Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, electrical safety protocols, BOP, mechanical systems, and hydraulic systems.
· Familiarity with electrical energy systems and their operational controls.
· Experience with industrial control systems
Skills:
· Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
· Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to learning and teaching.
· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a drive to continuously improve.
