We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) / Human Resources (HR) Specialist to join our growing team. As a mid-size industrial/commercial electrical contractor, this role combines safety program management with HR support to ensure compliance, employee well-being, and organizational success.
Responsibilities
- HSE Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct safety training, audits, and incident investigations. Site visits required.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations.
- Manage ISN and Veriforce compliance documentation to maintain client and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture across field and office operations.
- HR Duties
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Maintain employee records, benefits, and compliance documentation.
- Support performance management and training initiatives.
- Act as a point of contact for HR policies and employee questions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, HR, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in HSE, HR, or a combined role.
- Knowledge of OSHA, ISN, and Veriforce compliance, plus employment law.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in construction, industrial, or electrical contracting strongly preferred.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $60,000 – $85,000/year (DOE)
- ISN/Veriforce compliance expertise.
