General Job Description:
Perform as a Pre-Sell Dairy Hygiene Supplies Sales Specialist, which includes the selling of dairy hygiene products and supplies to dairy farmers. This position is required to perform at a high level of customer service and to attract new route customers.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Keep fully informed on all Central Ag Supply Inc. policy and procedures and enforce them.
- Sell dairy hygiene and supplies to dairymen.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Develop new route customers.
- Maintain and update accurate route records.
- Assist coordinator with inventory and orders when needed.
- Assist coordinator on ideas for sales promotions and flyers.
- Collect competitive prices and samples on a daily basis and forward to coordinator.
- Responsible for cleaning problems of assigned customers and assist the coordinator with cleaning problems when necessary.
- Submit daily invoices to Administrative Staff.
- Schedule and plan the route for travel and time efficiency.
- Operate the route at a profitable level.
- Responsible for constantly maintaining and improving company image and properly representing and maintaining company polices.
- Maintain a clean and well-kept uniform and truck.
- Make sure truck maintenance is performed on a scheduled procedure.
- Become knowledgeable through on the job training and company paid schooling, of dairy equipment, sanitation supplies and animal health products sold by Central Ag Supply Inc.
- Make sure you have the correct warranty for products when needed, are followed through.
- Take care of credit application on new accounts, COD’s, collections, and enforcing company policies.
- Assist with receiving and putting away all truckload shipments in warehouse following proper procedures and completing the proper paperwork as soon as possible.
- Help with the duties required for the sanitation supplies repackaging process of cleaning empty barrels, refilling barrels, labeling barrels, and putting the full barrels away in their correct location. (Proper safety glasses and clothing to be worn during this process.) Empty barrels should not be kept outside.
- Keep all inventories in warehouse, shop, parts rooms, and store always put away in the correct locations and in a neat appearance while using proper inventory rotation procedures.
- Assist Inventory Control management when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Sales skills.
- A thorough understanding of dairy hygiene. products, supplies, and cow physiology.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- A commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement is required.
- Ability to perform standard physical duties.
