Safety Manager - Ft. McCoy

The Safety Manager is responsible for all safety requirements and programs for the effort.
The manager must have ten years of experience in safety / environmental-related to all logistical functions (e.g. ASP, Maintenance Activity, Railway, SSA, and Transportation). Additionally, specialized experience in safety program planning with a broad knowledge of logistical functions. Must have the ability to analyze, develop, evaluate, advise or promote safety improvements in logistical programs. Will be required to appropriately establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.
* Manage information generation and submission of 29 CFR 1910 (general industry), 29 CFR 1926 (construction), DODI 6055.1, along with safety and safety-reporting requirements.
*Maintain compliance with current environmental ISO 14001 standards.
* Conduct periodic safety meetings, safety training, safety audits, risk assessments, and other safety-related assistance
* Create effective safety partnerships with all employees and client safety departments
* Ensure the effectiveness of day-to-day safety compliance and procedures.
* Lead or take part in the investigation and conduct Root Cause Analysis on all injury/illness and/or near hit incidents to include corrective action plans
* Assist, advise, follow-up, and/or lead implementation with local management on corrective actions with all incidents and near hits.
* Implement and follow-up on SAWTST safety policies and procedures
* Ensures that Safety milestones & employee return to work goals are met and adhering to approved Workers Comp / Physician Certification treatment plans.
