C & J Equipment Manufacturing is a full-service fabrication company established in 1978. C&J has an immediate opening for a Safety Coordinator in Bloomfield, NM. This position is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of safety initiatives. The successful candidate will:

Promote and support the overall health and safety of employees and the work environment
Deliver weekly and monthly safety meetings and materials, oversee the compliance of tailgate meetings, and maintain associated documentation
Conduct safety orientation for new hires
Conduct facility audits on a regular basis to ensure compliance
Maintain state, federal, and company regulatory records and OSHA 300 reports
Work diligently to implement risk prevention training and techniques

Qualifications:

· Experience with workplace safety strategies

· Knowledge of OSHA regulations and recording requirements

· Knowledge of how to conduct workplace investigations timely and according to all applicable policies and regulations

· Computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly

· Ability to think critically and make decisions objectively and logically

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay is dependent upon experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
