Overview

Seeking a Systems Safety Engineer for the FLRAA project with expertise in software safety standards, hazard analysis, and aircraft systems.

Requirements:

Familiarity with civil safety process (SAE ARP-4761/4754) or defense safety process (MIL-STD-882)
Direct experience in SAE ARP4761 analyses and MIL-STD-882 analyses
BS degree and 2+ years of experience on aircraft/system development programs

Preferred Skills:

Experience or training in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and model-based safety analysis (MBSA)
Operational understanding of aircraft systems and related support systems
Relevant military rotorcraft/powered life aviator or mechanic qualification

Responsibilities:

Apply software safety standards across full development lifecycle
Conduct hazard identification, system/software qualification tests
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve integrated system problems
