Job Description

An experienced safety professional with an extensive background in electric utility work with an emphasis on substation work.

Primary Responsibilities include:

· Training and training documentation (for contracts and sub-contractors)

· Worker qualifications

· Orientations for new site personnel as required

· Formulation of Health and Safety Plans

· Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis

· Safety Audits and Compliance Assessments

· Review of Job Briefs

· Compliance with the host utility’s Incident Investigations and Incident Analyses program ensuring the inspection and testing programs for tools and equipment are established, implemented and routinely audited.

· Weekly attendance and participation on the host utility’s safety calls

· Knowledge of OSHA reporting requirements

· Review safety trending and as a result implement injury prevention programs as applicable from the contractors overall safety performance

Knowledge & Skills

· OSHA 10-Hour, OSHA 30-Hour for construction and Hazwopper 40 Hour Training

· Working knowledge of: National Electric Safety Code (NESC), OSHA 1910.269

· OSHA 500 (OSHA Standards for Construction)

· OSHA 510 (OSHA Standards for General Industry)

· CPR, First Aid and AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

· Enclosed / Confined Space

· Work Area Protection

· Grounding Training

Preferred Experience/Certifications

· CSP + documentation of related work experience OR

· CUSP + documentation of 5-7 years’ of related work experience

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
