We’re hiring an Environmental Project Manager to work with our team. In this role, you’ll work on a variety of technical projects from simple to complex. You’ll spend time working outdoors performing field tasks, overseeing project activity, and training junior staff. And you’ll work in the office conducting research, writing technical reports, preparing proposals, and collaborating with others regarding project planning and execution, technical strategies, and financials. Responsibilities
As an Environmental Project Manager at Ensolum, your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, and they will typically include:
- Collecting soil, groundwater, and air samples for field and/or laboratory analyses
- Gathering, tabulating, and analyzing data
- Training and supervising project staff
- Interfacing with clients and subcontractors
- Recommending technical approaches
- Preparing proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports
- Operating and maintaining field equipment and instrumentation
- Researching federal and state rules and regulations regarding environmental permitting, compliance, and remediation
- Managing projects within designated timeframes and budgets
- Applying regulatory policies to clean up the environment
- Implementing and ensuring health and safety best practices
Qualifications
We’re always looking for people who are self-motivated, learning-oriented, and client-centric. And to be considered for this role at Ensolum, you’ll also need a few more qualification requirements:
- BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- At least 7 years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and report writing
- At least 2 years of experience managing environmental assessment and remediation projects and budgets, proposal writing, supervising project staff, and working with New Mexico regulations
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Safety awareness and understanding of safe work practices
- Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and personal vehicle
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Able to pass drug & alcohol screening and background check
It would be great if you also have:
- Prior experience working in oil field-related industry
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- Competent Person Excavation Training
