We are seeking a presentable and knowledgeable Fine Dining Server to join our Italian fine dining/lounge restaurant. As a Fine Dining Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests, creating a memorable dining experience in an elegant and sophisticated environment. Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor, escorting them to their tables and presenting menus.
Provide in-depth knowledge of the Italian menu offerings, including ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavors.
Assist guests in making informed menu selections, considering dietary restrictions, preferences, and special requests.
Offer recommendations on wine, spirits, and cocktail pairings, ensuring a seamless integration with guests' dining preferences.
Take accurate orders, enter them into the POS system, and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar staff.
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food items, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Serve food and beverages to guests with precision, attention to detail, and adherence to service standards.
Engage with guests throughout their dining experience, ensuring their satisfaction and promptly addressing any concerns or issues.
Provide exceptional tableside service, including preparing and presenting specialty dishes and assisting with wine service.
Anticipate guests' needs, including refilling glasses, replacing silverware, and offering additional items, creating a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
Collaborate with the restaurant team to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including setting tables, folding napkins, and polishing glassware and silverware.
Stay updated with menu changes, specials, and promotions, and effectively communicate them to guests.
Maintain a professional and polished appearance, adhering to the restaurant's dress code and grooming standards at all times.
Uphold the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Continuously expand knowledge of Italian cuisine, wine, and mixology through self-study, training sessions, and attending tastings or seminars.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a server in a fine dining establishment, preferably in an Italian restaurant or lounge.
Extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine, including ingredients, cooking techniques, and traditional dishes.
Familiarity with wine and spirits, with the ability to make knowledgeable recommendations and pairings.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide a high level of personalized service.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order-taking and delivering precise tableside service.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address guest concerns and resolve issues effectively.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift trays and heavy plates, and work in a team-oriented environment.
