The Safety Supervisor is a member of the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department, reporting directly to the Safety Director. The EHS Supervisor will play an integral part in assuring the development, execution, and maintenance of all environmental health and safety policies, procedures and programs. This position will develop and coordinate safety activities, provide training and education, support risk management and compliance, and conduct accident investigations.

- Support of Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Identify and evaluate safety risks, and recommend and implement corrective action.
- Responsible for developing, training, and evaluating EHS department direct reports.
- Participate and lead safety audits, inspections, and meetings.
- Development, delivery, and maintenance of all required OSHA written management processes to include recordkeeping requirements per local, state and federal regulations
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment is maintained at all times in accordance with food safety regulations
- Collaborates with Safety Officer, Safety Technician, Safety Specialist, and Director
- Conduct accident investigations, analyze causes and recommend preventive measures
- Working knowledge of Workers Compensation
- Maintaining confidential documents
- Other duties as assigned
- Sense of urgency, ability to meet deadlines, and attention to detail
- Bachelors degree in safety, environmental health, engineering, or related field. Or
- Minimum of 3 years experience in safety supervising or management.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal safety regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to lead, motivate and evaluate employees
- Knowledge of incident investigation procedures
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Strong Communication, Collaboration and Teamwork Skills
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
- OSHA 10 (Cal-OSHA General Industry) certification
- Achieve the certification of STS (Safety Trained Supervisor), OHST (Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Willing to work in any of our operating locations (Arbuckle and Woodland)
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Have the ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Must be willing and able to work occasional overtime during the week and/or on weekends and holidays
