POSITION SUMMARY: The position will be responsible for following safety programs, policies, training, and procedures that promote a robust and proactive safety culture and the maintenance of a healthy work environment. The position ensures maintaining and monitoring of consistent safety and environmental management programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities (as directed by the Supervisor, Safety and Process Control) are essential duties of the job.
- Completes inspections of portable fire extinguishers, eye wash/ shower stations, and other safety equipment as required.
- Conducts frequent safety inspections and behavioral safety observations in all areas of the site.
- Maintains a presence on site and frequents higher-risk work areas including production and warehouse areas while promoting a “zero incident” culture.
- Promotes safety by example and follows OSHA Safety Regulations and Company Policies.
- Supports and conducts safety talks and other safety training.
- Serves as an onsite first responder for all emergencies.
- Supports internal safety audits on a regular basis to detect existing or potential risks and hazards.
- Conducts OSHA-acceptable fit testing for respiratory usage or coordinates fit testing by a third party.
- Maintains safety files and records.
- Participates in required environmental testing and maintains required records.
- Serves on the Company’s Safety Committee.
- Other safety duties as needed.

- Seek formal and informal performance assessments, including performance versus expectations and goals, behaviors, and leadership potential.
What You Need:
- Experience and/or Education: By training, education and/or experience, employee must be able to perform the essential duties of the job. High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
- Computer Skills: Employee can use the equipment and software required to accomplish the responsibilities of the position. Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word software programs.
- Required to obtain and maintain certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid.
