Position Summary: The Safety Manager provides strategic direction and leadership for Reliable Turbine Services Environmental Health and Safety.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develops and manages the environmental, health, safety, and security program, processes, and procedures across all business units of Reliable Turbine Services (RTS) with compliance to related codes, standards, regulations, and best business practices.
- Regularly updates and maintains safety information in required customer portals.
- Completes safety related questionnaires, audits and other information requests as needed on a timely basis.
- Develops, manages and executes on behalf of RTS all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety related training events in full compliance with applicable federal and state laws, customer requirements and best business practices.
- Assists in all aspects of work comp; performs, reports, and determines corrective actions for injury reports.
- Reports observed occupational safety and/or health problems per regulation.
- Reviews all project work for potential environmental impact and maintains a record of environmental consideration.
- Performs studies, analyses, inspections, and testing to ensure operations and activities remain in compliance with all applicable EHS related codes, standards, and regulations.
- Develops and manages project audit criteria and RTS facility EHS audits and inspections.
- Supports and coordinates federal, state, and local agency inspections, audits, and inquiries as necessary in the best interest of the company.
- Conducts and participates in EHS audits, develops written reports of audit findings, determines root cause, and recommends corrective actions and follows through to closure to senior management.
- Cultivates an environment of ownership, collaboration, and accountability to prevent illnesses and/or injuries and assure a safe work environment.
- Establishes, publishes, updates, and implements procedures to address safety and health incidents.
- Maintains EHS related safety metrics.
- Defines and implements EHS Vendor qualifications program.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
- Utilizes tools and technology provided in an effective and efficient manner.
- Ensures communication with customers, suppliers, vendors, and co-workers are professional and appropriate.
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does have indirect supervisory responsibilities.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Education-
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety & Health, EH&S Management, or a related field
Work Experience-
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations as applicable to General Industry and Power Generation
- 1+ years related industry experience with welding and machining
- 1+ year knowledge of electric power industry
- OSHA training and compliance management
Certifications/Licenses-
- Valid Driver License
