Job Summary
The Construction Safety Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of construction sites. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs that align with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OSHA safety standards and regulation compliance, risk management, site inspections to assess and enforce safety procedures, communicate, train and support project managers & superintendents with safety regulations, particularly within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and NEC standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide training to employees on safety practices & use of PPE, including workers' compensation protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate, support and assist project managers and superintendents to ensure safety measures and sustainable building practices.
- Document & Analyze incident reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns on construction sites.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of occupational health regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- This position requires travel to jobsites (multiple states) up to 2-3 days a week. Days not traveling will be in Daytona Beach, FL office.
Qualifications
- A degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred OR previous experience in construction safety standards management position.
- Proven experience in construction site safety management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, NEC codes, workers' compensation processes, and risk management principles.
- Familiarity with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) practices within the construction industry.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and motivate employees on safety protocols.
- Proficient in using construction management software for tracking compliance and reporting purposes.
- Strong analytical skills to assess risks and implement effective solutions.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow complex safety standards and government regulations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
