Who we are:
We are Bay Area entrepreneurs who are starting a company that will do home modifications for seniors to make their homes more accessible. For example, installing stairlifts, wheelchair ramps, automatic door openers, and grab bars.
We are looking for our first Installation Technician, who will not only help us install this equipment for seniors who need it, but will also help us build our future Installation Technician team.
We believe this is an important problem to solve and a growing opportunity in the Bay Area. You will play a key role in helping us start this company from the beginning, and will have a front-row seat to the growth of the company.
We believe in treating our employees with respect, compensating them well, and investing in their long-term growth & development.
What you will do:
- Safely install stairlifts, ramps, grab bars, automatic door openers, and other accessibility solutions in homes with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Travel to job sites and ensure timely completion of installations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers about the installation process.
- Both help create and follow Standard Operating Procedures for installation and customer service.
- Use our project management software to complete work orders, check the schedule, log notes, etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site challenges or issues.
- Safely handle tools, equipment, and materials, including lifting items up to 100 pounds.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in customers' homes.
- Ensure all installations meet company standards and regulatory safety guidelines.

- Relevant Experience: General technical and mechanical aptitude is a must. You should be comfortable working with your hands/power tools, understanding instructions, and putting things together. You’ll be directly responsible for installing stairlifts, ramps, grab bars, and other accessibility equipment. Bonus: background in home remodeling, HVAC, and/or security/alarm systems is a plus but not required.
- Customer Service Skills: We serve the senior citizen population, so customer service skills are essential. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers, ensuring they understand the installation process. English proficiency is a must.
- Physical Capability: Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 100 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various home environments.
- Problem Solving & Organizational Skills: Ability to assess and troubleshoot on-site challenges, while maintaining organization and efficiency in time and resource management.
- Driver's License & Transportation: Valid driver’s license and willingness to spend prolonged amounts of time operating a vehicle. Ability to travel to various installation sites as needed.
