- Friday: 5:00PM – 10:00PM (Keeping phone until Monday at 9am) Monday return phone to Orem Office
- Saturday: 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM
- Sunday: 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM
- Monday: 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Compensation:
- The compensation for being On-Call is broken down as followed:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are paid at $40 per night.
i. Example: If someone had the phone Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, they would be compensated $160.
ii. An individual on-call is expected to track time worked. If on an individual day, on-call required them to work beyond 1 hour, they may be compensated at a higher amount equal to 1 hour of regular pay rate. Please discuss with your supervisor immediately.
- Saturday and Sunday are paid at $100 per day.
i. Example: If someone had the phone Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, they would be compensated $240.
ii. An individual on-call is expected to track time worked. If on an individual day, on-call required them to work beyond 2 hours per weekend day, they may be compensated at a higher amount equal to 1 hour of regular pay rate. Please discuss with your supervisor immediately.
- Holidays are paid at $100 per Holiday evening.
i. Example: If you had on-call the day before Thanksgiving and day of, Wednesday would be $40, and Thursday would be $100.
- On-Call payment is calculated every Monday and paid every Friday.
Expectations for On-Call:
- While On-Call, the phone may not be silenced or turned off. It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure the phone is charged.
- The on call phone is on Monday through Friday 6am-9am and 5pm-10pm. Saturday and Sunday are on from 6am-10pm. All phone calls must be answered. If unable to answer due to being on another call, they are expected to be called back as soon as able. When not already on a call, messages and calls should be responded to within 15 minutes.
- All texts must be answered. If the text received can wait until normal business answers, please inform the sender that the text will be addressed during normal business hours.
- The on-call phone cannot be brought to a location without service / connection. If traveling, please inform supervisor when the on-call schedule is being made.
- Each On Call Coordinator needs to take a minimum of 10 days per month. If there are any accommodations that need to be made for a certain month, they need to be addressed with their Supervisor.
- Monday through Friday, the individual on call needs to post their notes and times worked to Teams no later than 9:30am. Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s notes will be posted on Monday morning.
- Concerns or needs brought up during on-call hours are to be prioritized at the beginning of the day at 9am. If you need assistance addressing concerns, changes, or anything from on-call, let your team and supervisor know.
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable On-Call Coordinator to join our team for daily coverage. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless operations and support for our caregivers and patients during non-business hours. A minimum of 10 days a month is required to take the On Call Emergency Phone. Our On Call Team rotate holidays as well!
Key Responsibilities:
- Be available to take emergency calls from caregivers and patients
- Handle urgent situations that cannot wait until the work week, such as callouts or cancellations
- Manage and adjust schedules as needed to ensure coverage
- Provide support and solutions to any immediate issues that arise
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
- Previous experience in a scheduling or similar role is preferred
- Ability to use Microsoft Teams and a cellular device
Note: The On-Call Scheduler will not be required to perform shifts; the primary responsibility is to manage calls and schedules and document.
