Job Summary:
As an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Specialist at Bond Optics, you will be responsible for overseeing the continued development and sustainment of Bonds’ EH&S program. The functions within this role include, but are not limited to, the identification, control, and reduction/elimination of safety and health risks, reducing environmental impacts through proper planning and operational controls, and maintaining regulatory compliance with governmental laws, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities:
Conduct safety and environmental audits in compliance with the EH&S program and federal, state, and local regulations.
Improve the existing program by performing hazard assessments to identify any gaps or deficiencies and develop and revise existing policies and procedures based on those observations.
Oversee the development and monitoring of all emergency planning activities.
Develop and maintain Bonds’ safety training program through the coordination of training sessions and maintenance and administration of the LMS training platform.
Administer safety meetings to ensure the effective communication of safety statistics, new initiatives, and safety-related issues.
Investigate near-misses and injuries, implement associated corrective actions, and assist with workers’ compensation claims.
Inspect and maintain adequate levels of inventory for all health and safety equipment to include safety glasses, steel toe shoes, first aid supplies, etc.
Maintain all EH&S-related documentation to include certificates and permits.
Provide EH&S leadership through the cultivation of a safety culture; develop cross-departmental relationships to foster trusted, open communication with the employees.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education and Experience):
3+ years of experience in occupational health and safety management
OSHA 30-hour general industry training program completion preferred
NHDES HazMat certifications preferred
Physical Requirements:
The ability to manually lift 50 lbs. on an infrequent basis.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
