Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment by implementing safety policies, conducting training sessions, and monitoring compliance with safety regulations. This role is crucial in promoting occupational health and safety standards within our construction project.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and EPA guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide training and development programs for employees on topics such as first aid, CPR, occupational health, and workers' compensation law.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, conducting root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety within the organization by promoting EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, incidents, and compliance activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees.
Experience
- Proven experience in a safety officer role or similar position within the construction sector is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation laws, and environmental regulations (EPA).
- Familiarity with first aid procedures, CPR certification, and occupational health practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
