Job Summary
We are seeking several passionate and dedicated Masters level or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (state of TN only) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their wellness goals. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies, including crisis intervention and behavior management strategies.
- Provide specialized counseling services for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, grief, chronic pain, gender identity concerns, and geriatrics.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations; record detailed notes on patient care, assessments, and treatment progress using appropriate medical terminology.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and facilitate seamless patient care across outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Engage in clinical research activities to support evidence-based practices; collect data for ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid Tennessee state licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Masters Level Counselor working towards clinical licensure for TN.
- Proven experience in clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient environments; private practice experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and group therapy.
- Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation; familiarity with CPT coding is a plus.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering services remotely is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent crisis intervention skills; adept at managing acute situations with calmness and professionalism.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health; understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and medical records management.
