Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role requires a deep understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in various diagnostic procedures.
Duties
- Perform mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure the proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing discomfort.
- Maintain equipment and perform quality control checks to ensure accurate imaging results.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
- Document patient information, imaging results, and any relevant medical history accurately.
- Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and participate in ongoing education and training.
Qualifications
- Certification in Mammography from an accredited program is required.
- Experience in nuclear medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, or emergency room settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology is essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team are necessary.
