H. R. Beebe, Inc. (Beebe) offers General Construction, Construction Management, and Design/Build Services. Established in 1912, Beebe has long dedicated itself to provide our community and customers with high quality service throughout the course of the project. Our continued emphases on our quality of work and the services we provide have secured many long-term customers. The majority of our business is from repeat customers and from customer referrals.
Our primary service area is the Mohawk Valley and Upstate New York. Beebe has also established many long-term relationships with companies outside of our primary service area. We have expanded our exposure to many new areas of technologies and construction techniques. This broadened perspective and a continuous process of evaluation allows us to implement these ideas and technologies which will provide measurable benefits for our customers in terms of quality and savings.
We utilize the latest in computer technology to ensure value for our customers on every project. Estimates are prepared using WinEst Software. Expedition is utilized to both manage projects and provide realistic long and short-term schedules and The Construction Manager is used to track job-cost. Beebe has always recognized that our people are our most important asset and returning home safely is our top priority.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Full Time Person. Salary depends on experience.
- Conducts daily site safety inspections/audits to ensure that safe operating procedures are being adhered to, documents findings and implements corrective actions.
- Has a willingness and aptitude to train employees on various company and industry practices.
- Leads and/or assists incident investigations, near-miss and property damage incidents to identify root cause(s) and develop effective corrective actions.
- Supports the company’s Good Catch Program
- A Good Catch is recognition of an event or circumstance that had the potential to cause property damage or injury / illness, but did not occur thanks to a correction action and/or timely intervention following the reporting.
- Represents the Company both internally and externally in a professional manner.
- Performs job site analyses to identify potential employee exposures to injuries and illnesses and institutes safe work practices / procedures.
- Helps manage daily activities regarding injury management and worker’s compensation issues.
- Provides safety leadership.
- Travels to project sites to provide field support.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
- Order and distribute all safety required PPE.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills to effectively manage, train, motivate, and communicate with employees, supervisors, and customers.
- Must have a proven record with Safety Management with a minimum of 5 years' experience required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience required in commercial construction
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate and coach personnel to accomplish company-wide goals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and good driving history.
- Ability to travel overnight at times.
Education and Experience:
- A degree in health and safety or a related field is preferred or (5) years of work experience. Every two years of experience is equivalent to one year of education.
- First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30, OSHA 510 or willing to work on OSHA 500.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
- Walk a great distance over various uneven terrain.
