Full time position. Join our dynamic outpatient mental health team as a dedicated Therapist, where your expertise will empower individuals and families to achieve mental wellness and resilience. Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions incorporating modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and other EBP’s).
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs, including crisis intervention strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and secure medical documentation practices.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate care with medical providers, social workers, educators, and community resources.
- Document patient progress meticulously within electronic medical records, ensuring accurate medical terminology usage and adherence to CPT coding standards.
- Facilitate specialized counseling for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, chronic pain conditions, gender issues, grief, addiction recovery, and geriatrics.
- Participate in clinical research projects or data collection efforts aimed at advancing behavioral health practices.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management protocols and de-escalation techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Stay current with behavioral health trends by engaging in ongoing professional development and research activities.
Skills
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Expertise in crisis intervention and crisis management to support patients during acute episodes.
- Skilled in working with children, adolescents, adults with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or individuals facing trauma such as PTSD or grief.
- Experience delivering telehealth services while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments using medical terminology and behavioral health best practices.
- Familiarity with medical records management and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics or inpatient settings when needed.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling principles and gender issues counseling is a plus.
