Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to join our team, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment across our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational and industrial safety, particularly within heavy field construction, Data Center, and BESS projects. This role requires hands-on experience, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
· Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs in compliance with regulatory standards.
· Lead and mentor teams on safety procedures and best practices.
· Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting.
· Promote and influence a culture of safety across all project teams.
Requirements:
Experience:
· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in occupational and industrial safety.
· Proven experience conducting safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
· Demonstrated success in implementing safety programs and ensuring regulatory compliance.
· Experience in heavy field construction, Data Center, and BESS projects.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and influence teams.
Training & Certifications:
· Completion of recognized safety training programs (CSST, OSHA 30, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Fire Safety, First Aid/CPR).
· Professional safety certifications are a plus (OSHA 500, CHST, CHSO).
· Experience training and mentoring employees in safety procedures and compliance standards.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and PROCORE.
Skills:
· Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
· Ability to identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and maintain safety documentation.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in safety reporting tools and basic office software (Excel, Word, PROCORE, etc.).
