Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Manufacturing Food Safety Specialist to join our quality assurance team. This role is essential in ensuring that our food manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems, food safety regulations, and manufacturing practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of product safety and quality, including International Canadian Food Safety Regulatory compliance knowledge. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, HACCP, CGMP, and other relevant standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines to perform detailed measurements during quality control processes.
- Operate vision inspection systems and other advanced quality inspection tools to identify defects or deviations in products.
- Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, process performance, and product conformity to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement and monitor quality management systems to uphold strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action procedures for non-conformances identified during inspections or audits.
- Support manufacturing teams by providing guidance on quality control procedures and ensuring proper documentation of all quality activities.
- Assist in the development and review of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to food safety and quality assurance processes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP, FDA regulations, CGMP, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and related compliance frameworks.
- Experience with calibration and use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Proficiency in conducting quality audits, inspections, and data collection for analysis purposes.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), QA/QC procedures, and quality assurance protocols within manufacturing environments.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends or issues.
- Strong attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. This position is integral to maintaining our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality food products through rigorous quality control measures aligned with industry best practices.
Pay: $106,513.74 - $142,016.55 per year
