Job Summary
We are seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our team working in a correctional institution setting. The ideal candidate will have a background in behavioral health and possess strong skills in motivational interviewing, psychotherapy, and clinic operations. This position requires 14hrs per week and is highly flexible on days/times. No more or less is required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
- Work with patients in person and remotely as needed.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Implement specialized care for individuals with PTSD and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques
- Support individuals with special education needs in a clinical setting
Skills
-Demonstrated knowledge of psychotropic medications, including familiarity with commonly prescribed treatments in correctional settings such as antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and antidepressants; ability to recognize appropriate medication use and monitor for side effects in incarcerated populations.
-Proficient in applying DSM-5 diagnostic criteria to assess and identify mental health disorders, with a strong understanding of symptomatology across mood, anxiety, psychotic, and personality disorders to support accurate clinical evaluations and treatment planning.

Qualifications
-Master's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social work, or related studies Mandatory
-LPC OR LMSW Mandatory
-Telehealth Certificate Highly Preferred
-QMHP Certificate Highly Preferred
