Safety Manager - Trucking
Overview
This position at Jaco Oil Company is responsible for the oversight of operational safety management for our fuel transportation business
Safety Management Responsibilities*
- Maintain compliance with all safety and hazmat rules and regulations, as well as related legal regulations.
- Establish procedures and actions to ensure safety of employees
- Reduce number of incidents and ensure we are one of the safest carriers in the business
- Investigate any accidents promptly, including response to incidents, as well as develop the written reports and documentation needed
- Conduct safety inspections
- Determine recommended safety equipment and ensure it is installed and employees are trained to use it effectively
- Lead safety meetings

Experience/Education Required
Must have at least 7 years of related management and safety experience. Safety Certification and Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred.
This full-time position is onsite based in Bakersfield, California with business travel to our locations in Fresno and Orange County.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
