A Safety Coordinator focuses on health and safety issues, such as preventing workplace accidents. A Safety Coordinator, or Safety Specialist, helps improve the overall safety of the workplace. Their duties include assessing safety, enforcing safety standards and educating employees.

**ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE OR BACKGROUND A MUST**
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning your health and safety program and protocols
- Teaching supervisors, managers and other leaders in the company about health and safety standards
- Presenting safety training sessions to the company
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal and state regulations
- Handling risk assessments to gather information on safety issues
- Verifying that employees consistently follow safety protocols
- Analyzing health and safety data
- Reviewing and recommending changes to regular activities
- Duties will involve morning paperwork and walking the site looking for safety hazards and enforcing safety.
- Work schedule would be Monday-Friday 7:00AM to 7:00PM / Saturday 7:00AM-3:30PM
Requirements and Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE MINIMUM OSHA 30
- MUST HAVE PREVIOUS SAFETY EXPERIENCE
- ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE OR BACKGROUND A MUST
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols (fall protection, ladder safety, lock out tag out, exc.)
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines and other state and local safety regulations
- Familiarity with the tools, machines and equipment used in the workplace
- Attention to detail
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to teach others the established safety standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy skills and comfort with various types of technology used in the industry
- Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people
