Families, Inc. Counseling Services is a private counseling agency dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve emotional well-being and improved quality of life. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Behavioral Health Provider (QBHP) to join our team serving students and families in the Greene County Tech School District.
Position Summary
The QBHP establishes a supportive client relationship with the goal of empowering clients and their support network to actively participate in mental health treatment. The QBHP provides clinical interventions to reinforce, practice, and model therapeutic techniques as directed by a Mental Health Professional (MHP). This position requires travel and does not involve the supervision of other staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an integral member of the client’s treatment team.
- Complete required training to become certified as a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider (QBHP).
- Provide transportation when necessary to support treatment goals.
- Make referrals and serve as liaison with other agencies.
- Provide timely documentation to support services rendered; prepare reports for agencies such as DCFS or the legal system as needed.
- Build a support network around the client by working with parents, teachers, and community agencies.
- Deliver clinical supportive interventions according to the treatment plan in both on-site and off-site settings.
- Ensure clients attend medication evaluations and follow-up appointments.
- Assist with securing PCP referrals in a timely manner.
- Schedule and document QBHP supervision and observations in accordance with company policy.
- Establish and maintain positive, consistent relationships with clients and their support network.
- Model stability, reinforce treatment plan compliance, and empower clients to improve daily functioning.
- Monitor and report client behavior across environments.
- Review caseload compliance to ensure timely updates and appropriate service levels.
- Attend required clinic meetings and testify in court as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, or a related field.
- Required: High school diploma or GED (with relevant work experience in human services).
Experience:
- Experience in a human services field is preferred.
- Prior work with children, families, or behavioral health services is a plus.
Skills & Requirements:
- Must meet the definition of a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider as defined in the standards for Arkansas Medicaid Providers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with clients, families, professionals, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent computer skills and ability to work across multiple electronic platforms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proper spelling and grammar.
- Ability to present information clearly and understandably.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
