Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Contract Operations Representative to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of projects by managing compliance, risk management, and occupational health standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) practices. You will be responsible for overseeing site activities, ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations, and maintaining compliance in third party websites.
Duties
- Providing safety oversight and ensuring applicable safety policies, practices and programs including: procedures, guidelines, etc. to be in compliance are being communicated and followed.
- Maintain a “Can-Do” attitude of managing risk to lowest level.
- Maintaining communication with management daily by verbally reporting work activities.
- Issues and monitors hot work permits, closing out a “transferred” Safe Work Permit.
- Conducting atmospheric monitoring as required by the Safe Work Permit
- Coordinating and conducting daily Field Tailgate Safety Meetings
- Participating in project related Pre-Job meetings and reviewing the approved Job Plan or the applicable procedure(s) being used for the assigned project during each daily Field Tailgate Safety meeting.
- Maintain perfect scoring at all times (“A”, “Green”, etc.)
- Manage 3rd party site (ISNetworld) for compliance with client requirements.
- Maintain strong emphasis on Loss control / “managing the risk” vs. other safety, especially at the job site level.
- Strong ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to Maintain and promote culture of safety excellence and performance.
- Ability to Prioritize competing interests
- Demonstrate values of safety and loss prevention 1st of all.
- Lead by example.
- Conducting safety training
- Administering written COR Safety Trainings “Safety Examination”.
- Inputting COR qualification documentation into ISN OQ database
- Maintain performance objective of: All training requirements are 100% in compliance and NOT expired.
- Assign training courses to new hires as required.
- Manage and collect training completion documentation (PDF’s-training certificates, training cards, etc.)
- File training completion documentation to appropriate digital file.
Requirements
- Basic safety or military experience strongly desired. Knowledge and understanding of basic safety protocols and risk mitigation necessary. Strong work availability and work ethic required.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying potential risks and implementing solutions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or BS Degree beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- A valid, current U.S. driver’s license is required. Offshore and land based position.
- Must possess a working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration Regulations, Environmental Protection Agency Regulations, Department of Transportation Regulations, as well as ANSI and NOISH Standards.
- Must have experience and knowledge of industry work practices, procedures, and work methods.
